Inspired by the local architecture, Selçuk House carefully consides its relationship with the surrounding environment. The south facades are solid to protect against the elements, while the openings on other facades are always positioned behind a terrace, balcony, or courtyard. This allows for a seamless connection with the exterior, while attentively introducing natural light and shadow into the interior. A courtyard pool creates a comfortable microclimate, and a green roof helps with thermal insulation and supports biodiversity.

The building’s design incorporates shear walls, ensuring compliance with earthquake regulations and providing a reliable and robust static concept that prioritizes safety and stability.

The green roof and designed shades provide a comfortable indoor climate while reducing energy consumption.

The second and third floors can function as an independent unit, while the first floor operates as a separate studio. Alternatively, all three floors can be interconnected to create a larger unified living space.
